A total of 2,058 national schools (SK) across Malaysia have been categorized as under-enrolled schools (SKM). An under-enrolled school (SKM) is defined as a school with fewer than 150 students.

Of the total mentioned above, 132 under-enrolled schools (SKM) have 20 students or fewer, while 44 schools have fewer than 10 students. One of these under-enrolled schools (SKM) is located in our state, Perak.

This school with only 4 students operates just like any other national school out there. Activities at Sekolah Kebangsaan Tebing Rebak are filled with various programs mandated by the Ministry of Education Malaysia (KPM), the State Education Department (JPN), the District Education Office (PPD), as well as many activities planned by the school itself.

The teachers there also have to complete online tasks through designated systems, handle clerical work, maintain records, prepare reports, and much more, just like teachers at schools that are not classified as under-enrolled (SKM).

Some say that this school once had nearly 200 registered students for a single school year, but after other schools were opened, there was a significant decline in student enrollment.

Even though the number of students at Sekolah Kebangsaan Tebing Rebak is minimal, all school events and facilities are maintained as usual, such as the annual sports day, complete computer facilities with internet access, supplementary food projects, and various forms of assistance from the Ministry of Education.

Sekolah Kebangsaan Tebing Rebak is the most unique and lively school in its own way, despite having so few students! It is not a problem at all, and in fact, the students there now are the luckiest in our country.
