The Uniqueness of the Confluence at Sungai Perak

Not stopping there, a group of districts forms a large state, and furthermore, a union of states forms a nation that stands proud in the eyes of the world. The brief narrative above is intended to illustrate to the reader how combining elements can create a power greater than before. This article will tell the story of the meeting point and confluence of rivers that form the Perak River. First, we know that
the source of the Perak River begins in the Hulu Perak region

However, what is interesting is that many are unaware that the Perak River, which flows towards Hilir Perak, actually merges or joins with another river in Sungai Siput.
I was taken by a friend named

to this Perak River confluence location, which I find quite interesting to share with the loyal followers of the Orang Perak page. The uniqueness of this river meeting point is clearly visible in the difference in color between the Pelus River, which flows down from the springs of Kuala Mu, and the original Perak River.
Not only is the color different, but it is even more exciting when you dip your hands into the meeting of these two rivers. The temperature feels quite cold from the Pelus River and lukewarm from the original Perak River. The location of this river confluence is not far from Kem Lang Buana, and the area still appears preserved from any pollution, making it highly suitable as a new location for eco-tourism. Based on casual observation, the area also serves as a stopover for migratory birds. It is possible and not impossible that there are unique bird species that use this area as their resting place. The area where the Pelus River meets the Perak River is also known as Lubuk Jawang. It is also inseparable from various mystical stories, mysteries, and myths that are quite interesting to share.
It is said that at the bottom of this Lubuk Jawang area, there is a large cave, and it is rumored that the cave entrance could lead directly to the Tapah area. There were several incidents of boats capsizing in this area in the past that could not be traced.
Stories about disturbances from supernatural beings are also often heard, and it is said that they disturb the local fishermen who make a living around this river pool.
This area is also a paradise for river fish enthusiasts. Most of these river fish (temoleh) release their eggs in the upper reaches of the river so that the eggs are carried by the current downstream, similar to the salmon popular abroad. Because the Chenderoh Dam prevents fish from continuing to Hulu Perak, the area around this dam becomes the last choice for fish to release their eggs so they can be carried by the current to Hilir Perak. Perak state is quite rich in natural beauty created by Allah SWT, and we, as residents of this blessed state, should appreciate the beauty that has been bestowed upon us for the benefit of future generations.
