The Story Behind Mango Shake Boro Boro Around Perak
Mango Shake Boro Boro was launched during the 2017 Pangkor Dialogue at a ceremony at the Amanjaya roundabout, Meru. The Perak Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAiPK) introduced this Mango Shake Kiosk to help the asnaf in Perak generate income.
For our loyal readers of orangperak.com, this Mango Shake Kiosk is a food stall entrepreneur program, which is a type of small business operating on streets, at expos, carnivals, and any other public hotspots. It is a mobile business concept that makes it easier for the asnaf traders to operate in public areas. The initiative by the Perak Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAiPK) to create such a program for the asnaf is a commendable effort.
The business managed by these asnaf is simple and guarantees decent returns, allowing them to generate income even while working on the streets.
Initially, this program involved 10 poor asnaf individuals, and the selection was screened based on their kifayah threshold and their determination to improve their economic status and income.
Since its inception, it has involved a cost of RM68,000.00, and the participating asnaf received a complete package of assistance including equipment, raw materials, and training. This program is part of the Asnaf Economic Empowerment Program, which aims to help the asnaf generate their own income.
Today, asnaf entrepreneurs running Mango Shake Kiosks can be found all over the state of Perak. If you come across them on the streets or in public places, please show your support by buying the mango shakes they sell so that they remain motivated, continue their efforts, and do not give up in improving their socio-economic standing.
