Sultan Tajul Ariffin (4th Sultan of Perak)
Sultan Tajul Ariffin (4th Sultan of Perak) was the younger brother of the late Sultan Ahmad Tajuddin Shah (3rd Sultan of Perak), who was appointed as the Sultan of Perak following the passing of Sultan Ahmad Tajuddin Shah.
The father of Sultan Tajul Ariffin (4th Sultan of Perak) was the late Sultan Mansur Shah I, who was the 2nd Sultan of Perak. This 4th Sultan of Perak resided in an area called Semat, located between Manong and Kuala Kangsar. Sultan Tajul Ariffin (4th Sultan of Perak) ruled the state of Perak for 10 years.
He ascended the throne of the state of Perak from 1584 until 1594. When the late Sultan Tajul Ariffin (4th Sultan of Perak) passed away, his remains were laid to rest at Pulau Semat, and he was posthumously titled Marhum Mangkat di Tebing.
Reaching the tomb of the late Sultan Tajul Ariffin (4th Sultan of Perak) is quite difficult and challenging as it requires crossing the Perak River to reach an island named Pulau Semat. Beside his tomb lies the tomb of his wife, Puteri Ajaib.
If you are interested in visiting this tomb area, you must take a boat with the help of local villagers in the surrounding area, and you must be cautious of venomous animals such as snakes upon arriving at Pulau Semat.
