Perhaps many young people today do not know that Kazar originally started in the arts as a recording artist and was quite popular around the 1980s. The real name of Kazarudin Saisi, or more commonly known as Kazar, is better known today for his acting career.

Introduction to Kazar Saisi

For your information, Kazaruddin Saisi was born in Behrang, Perak in 1959. Since his school days, he had dreamed of becoming a singer and owning his own album.

To pursue his dream, he left his hometown and migrated to Kuala Lumpur to seek opportunities in the arts.

Initially, Kazar Saisi was selected in an audition for an anti-drug campaign compilation album around 1983. Without knowing or relying on anyone in Kuala Lumpur, his talent was his only hope for securing opportunities to become an artist.

Starting a Career as a Singer

As fate would have it, Kazar Saisi was selected and recruited by Serina Hashim, who was a popular singer and actress in the 1970s. This was his first opportunity to record a song for a special album released on cassette.

A sound engineer involved in the recording of the anti-drug campaign compilation album helped Kazar Saisi create a demo of his own song titled 'Ana Aku Merana'.

Kazar Saisi's first song demo was then sent to a famous composer who had launched the careers of many popular singers at that time, Datuk Ahmad Nawab.

Fortune favors the bold, and who knows what fate holds for a person. Once again, luck was on Kazar's side when the song demo was accepted by Datuk Ahmad Nawab. Kazar Saisi was then called by Datuk Ahmad Nawab to sign a contract without going through the audition process like other artists.

Starting to Make a Name Nationwide

Kazar's song titled 'Ana Aku Merana' was later renamed to 'Kali Pertama Kasih Ku Bersemi' and was included in Kazar's debut album in 1984. Since then, Kazar's name became known throughout the country, and he became very popular and well-liked!

In 1985, his song titled 'Memburu Impian' became the soundtrack for the film 'Gila Gila Remaja' starring Faizal Hussein.

With his song chosen as the film's soundtrack, it left a lasting impact and sweet memories for Kazar to this day.

Starting a Career in Acting

As for the acting world, Kazar began acting around the 1990s, when private television stations were first introduced.

The impact of the introduction of private television stations caused many singers to try their luck in acting, and Kazar was no exception.

To this day, Kazar continues his career as an actor and has starred in dozens of television dramas. This actor, well-known for his humble nature, was also crowned Best Male Comedy Actor at the Anugerah Lawak Warna in 2014 and Best TV Comedy Actor at the Anugerah Sri Angkasa in 2016.
