Condolences to the Families of the UPSI Student Bus Tragedy Victims
With heavy hearts, we at Orang Perak express our deepest condolences to the families of the victims of the heartbreaking tragedy on Jalan Jeli-Gerik that claimed the lives of 15 UPSI students.
In the tragedy that occurred at 1 a.m. today, June 9, 2025, a bus carrying 48 passengers, most of whom were UPSI students, was involved in a road accident that resulted in 13 victims passing away at the scene, while two others passed away at the hospital.
May their souls be blessed, placed among the righteous, and granted peace in the presence of the Divine. To the bereaved families, may you be given strength and perseverance in facing this trial.
We also pray for the speedy recovery of the injured victims, and all Malaysians share in the sorrow during this difficult time.
