In conjunction with the 2025 National Youth Day celebration which will take place on May 15, a total of 81 youth leaders from across the state of Perak have received the consent of His Royal Highness the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah, to deliver a special Friday sermon at mosques and Friday Prayer Suraus (SDJ) throughout the state.

Among the young figures highlighted are three youth leaders from the Perak Tengah District, who are also part of the orangperak.com Team – a group of volunteers committed to developing the state's identity and heritage through various community initiatives.

They are:

  • Ahmad Khairul Syawal bin Nikman, Chairman of the Perak Tengah District Youth Council, who was entrusted with delivering the sermon at Sultan Yusuf Izzudin Shah Mosque, Seri Iskandar.
  • Muhammad Asyraf bin Mohd Ariffin, Information Chief of the Parit Area 4B Youth Movement (GB4B), who delivered the sermon at Al-Furqan Friday Prayer Surau, Titi Gantung.
  • Mohamad Nazrin bin Mohamad Suhaimi, who delivered the sermon at Kampung Kuchai New Mosque, Lambor Kiri.

The special sermon titled “Confident Youth: Fulfilling the Vision of the World and the Hereafter” carries a message highly relevant to current realities – that youth are not just heirs to the future, but are the leaders of today. In a fast-paced and challenging world, youth must stand as pillars of stability for the ummah, not only with the strength of youthful energy, but with intellectual wisdom and steadfast faith.

Statistics show that there are over 9.6 million youth in Malaysia, representing 29% of the total population. This is not a small figure – it is a great force capable of driving the currents of change if harnessed correctly. Youth possess a productive phase of life, full of energy, burning passion, fresh creativity, and the ability to adapt to technology and new ideas. However, all these advantages must be channeled with true knowledge, noble moral values, and firm faith so that the results bring benefits to society, religion, and the nation.

This sermon also highlights exemplary stories from the Prophets that are very close to the hearts of the youth. Prophet Yusuf AS, despite being young and surrounded by opportunities for sin and temptation, remained firm in choosing the path of piety due to his faith in Allah. Meanwhile, Prophet Musa AS was known for two main qualities – al-Qawiy (strong) and al-Amin (trustworthy) – which serve as symbols for youth who are not only physically strong and courageous, but also trustworthy and highly principled. These stories provide a clear lesson that the true strength of a young person lies not only in their body, but in their principles, courage to reject falsehood, and willingness to uphold the truth.

In this context, the orangperak.com Team is very proud and expresses high appreciation for the involvement of the three young leaders from Perak Tengah in delivering this special sermon. They did not just stand on the pulpit as khatibs, but as symbols of the rise of Perak youth who are confident, mature, and capable of delivering the message of dakwah directly to the community.

Their success is a reflection of the values championed by the Orang Perak Team – which is to build identity through knowledge, elevate the voices of young people in public discourse, and ensure that local heritage and culture continue to live on in the current of modernization. They have proven that youth are not only worthy of leading organizations or community programs, but are also worthy of filling the most noble space – the mosque pulpit – by delivering messages that provide spiritual strength and inspiration to the entire community.

With this spirit, it is hoped that more youth throughout the state of Perak will rise to answer the call of leadership – not only in the development and economic sectors, but also in the fields of dakwah, education, and the strengthening of public morality. This success is not the end, but the beginning of a new era of youth leadership that is confident, principled, and visionary for the world and the hereafter.
