Orang Perak Courtesy Visit to the Orang Besar Jajahan of Hilir Perak

On June 11, 2026, the management of Orang Perak paid a courtesy visit to YBhg. Orang Kaya Kaya Laksamana Raja Mahkota, Dato’ Haji Meor Redwan bin Mahayudin, the Orang Besar Jajahan of Hilir Perak, at his office in Teluk Intan.

This courtesy visit was held to introduce the role, vision, and direction of Orang Perak in greater detail, as well as to discuss potential strategic collaborations between Orang Perak and the Office of the Orang Besar Jajahan of Hilir Perak. The meeting also served as a platform to exchange views on various issues related to history, heritage, customs, and efforts to strengthen the identity of the Perak community.

During the session, which took place in a warm and meaningful atmosphere, Dato’ Haji Meor Redwan shared his experiences and insights while carrying out his duties as a state dignitary of Perak. His sharing provided invaluable perspectives on the role of the state's dignitary institutions in preserving the heritage, customs, and identity of Negeri Perak Darul Ridzuan.

He also expressed his hope that Orang Perak would continue to play a more active and influential role in elevating the state's history, particularly concerning the Perak Sultanate, the state's dignitary institutions, and the heritage stories that form the foundation of the state's identity and glory. According to him, efforts to document, preserve, and disseminate historical knowledge to the younger generation are crucial so that the inherited legacy does not fade with time.
