The Story Behind the Rehabilitation Centre in Batu Gajah
As we all know, there are many rehabilitation centres opened across our country, Malaysia. One of these many rehabilitation centres is located in Batu Gajah, Perak.
For our loyal readers at orangperak.com, this rehabilitation centre in Batu Gajah was built in 1902 and was known at the time as Kinta Prison. Kinta Prison served as a detention centre exclusively for men.
By 1951, Kinta Prison began accepting female detainees, and from that point on, it became known as the Central Women’s Prison.
