Sultan Nazrin Shah Attends the 2025 Perak State Warriors' Day Celebration
The Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Shah, graced the 2025 Perak Darul Ridzuan State Warriors' Day celebration at Dataran Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan this morning.
Also present at the historic ceremony were the Raja Muda of Perak, Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa, and the Raja Di Hilir of Perak, Raja Iskandar Dzurkarnain Sultan Idris Shah.
His Royal Highness arrived at 9:00 AM and was welcomed by the Menteri Besar of Perak, Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad, Western Fleet Commander, Rear Admiral Datuk Pahlawan Abdul Halim Shaari, Perak Police Chief, Datuk Noor Hisam Nordin, and Commander of the 2nd Malaysian Infantry Brigade, Brigadier General Mohamad Rosli Abu Bakar.
Full Ceremonial Honors
The ceremony began with the playing of the Perak state anthem, followed by an inspection of the main guard of honor by Sultan Nazrin. The guard of honor consisted of three senior police officers and 102 junior police officers, led by Supt Mohd Aster Mohamad and assisted by Deputy Superintendent Ahmad Auzan Mohd Noor. Meanwhile, Inspector Mohd Nor Syahid Shaharum served as the standard-bearer.
The assembly also included 408 officers and personnel from security forces, including Malaysian Armed Forces veterans and police retirees, who added a patriotic spirit to the event.
After the guard of honor inspection, the Last Post was sounded, and the Jalur Gemilang was lowered as a sign of respect.
Poetry Recitation and Prayer
The ceremony continued with a prayer led by Inspector Adib Azimat from the Perak Contingent Headquarters. The atmosphere then became moving with the recitation of a poem titled "Darah Perwira Di Tanah Merdeka" (Blood of Warriors in the Land of Freedom) by Lieutenant Hadzeri Julai and Corporal Nurul Syuhada Azmi.
Following this, the Rouse was sounded and the Jalur Gemilang was raised again, followed by the Perak state anthem.
In closing, Sultan Nazrin attended a luncheon at the Banquet Hall before departing.
This year's Warriors' Day celebration not only commemorates the sacrifices of our fighters but also ignites a spirit of patriotism among the people of Perak.
