08 Feb 2017 · 1 min read · 13 ·By Freddie Aziz Jasbindar
Zainudin Lot has reportedly been interested in climbing since he was a child. According to his younger brother, Zul Lot, the first hill he climbed was located behind their house in Kampung Buloh Akar. It is said that someone once took their last breath in his arms during a climbing mission. Zainudin Lot has two children, and one of his sons shares the same passion as his father.

Four national climbers from the Alpine-Malaysia Colony Club (KJA-M) successfully conquered the 6,961-meter peak of Mount Aconcagua in Argentina in early 2017. One of the climbers, 40-year-old Zainudin Lot, hails from Kampung Buloh Akar, Parit, Perak. He also serves as an advisor to the Alpine-Malaysia Colony Club (KJA-M).

The 7 highest continental peaks in the world

Mount Aconcagua is the second-highest mountain in South America. These climbers, who brought honor to the country, successfully navigated long and steep trekking paths with inclines between 70 and 80 degrees. The challenge was overcome with high desire and determination to fly the Malaysian Jalur Gemilang flag at the summit of Mount Aconcagua. The expedition to Mount Aconcagua was the fifth mission for Zainudin Lot in his quest to complete the 7 highest summits on each continent. This representative from Parit, Perak has already successfully conquered Mount Everest in Asia, Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa, Mount Elbrus in Europe, and Mount Kosciuszko in Australia.
