Perak Tengah District Council Administrative Complex, Driving District Progress

On March 19, 2018, a historic event took place in Seri Iskandar, Perak, when the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah, officially opened the Perak Tengah District Council (MDPT) Complex with full ceremony. This grand event was graced by the presence of HRH Raja Permaisuri Perak, Tuanku Zara Salim; the Raja Muda of Perak, HRH Raja Jaafar ibni Almarhum Raja Muda Musa; the Raja Di Hilir of Perak, HH Raja Iskandar Dzulkarnain ibni Almarhum Sultan Idris Shah; and the Raja Puan Muda of Perak, HH Tunku Soraya binti Almarhum Sultan Abdul Halim. Their presence not only added to the splendor of the occasion but also highlighted the importance of this complex in driving the development of the Perak Tengah district.

The MDPT Complex, located in Seri Iskandar, represents a major step in the effort to modernize local administration. Previously, the MDPT operated in the town of Parit, but with the move to this new location, it is expected to provide more efficient and effective services to the local residents.

The complex, which cost RM9.4 million, is not just an ordinary administrative building; it is equipped with various modern facilities such as meeting halls, a surau, an exhibition gallery, and a drive-thru counter to facilitate public affairs.

Inauguration Symbolism and Visit to the Exhibition Gallery

As a symbol of the inauguration, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah signed a commemorative plaque marking the official opening of the complex. Afterward, His Royal Highness and the royal entourage had the opportunity to visit the exhibition gallery located within the complex.

The gallery showcases the history and development of the Perak Tengah district, including significant achievements attained by the MDPT since its establishment. This exhibition not only provides a glimpse into the district's historical journey but also displays the vision and mission of the MDPT in driving sustainable development for the future.

A Vast and Diverse Administrative Area

The MDPT bears a major responsibility in administering an area of 43,615 hectares, which includes several important areas such as Parit, Simpang Tiga Buluh Akar, Tanjung Belanja, Bota, Seri Iskandar, Titi Gantung, and Felcra Seberang Perak. With such a vast area, this new complex is expected to become a more organized administrative center capable of providing better services to residents throughout the district.

Modern Facilities for a Brighter Future

The MDPT Complex is more than just an administrative building; it is equipped with various modern facilities designed to meet the needs of residents and government officials. Among the facilities provided are a spacious meeting hall, a comfortable surau for prayer needs, an informative exhibition gallery, and a drive-thru counter to facilitate public transactions.

All these facilities were built with current and future needs in mind, making this complex a complete and modern administrative center.

Development Impact on the Local Community

The construction of the MDPT Complex in Seri Iskandar is expected to have a significant impact on the local community. Beyond simplifying administrative processes, the complex is also expected to be a catalyst for economic and social development in the Perak Tengah district.

With a more organized and efficient administrative center, it will attract more investment and tourism to the area, subsequently improving the standard of living for local residents.

Conclusion: A Step Forward

The inauguration of the Perak Tengah District Council Complex by Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah is not merely a symbolic event; it marks a major step toward sustainable and modern development for the Perak Tengah district. With modern facilities and a strategic location, this complex is expected to become the pulse of administration and development in the district for years to come. The presence of the royal entourage also underscores the importance of this complex in driving the district's development and progress.

With the move to this new location, the MDPT is now on the right track to provide better services to the local residents. This complex is not only a symbol of progress but also proof of the government's commitment to ensuring balanced and sustainable development for all.

Hopefully, with the opening of this complex, the Perak Tengah district will continue to progress and develop, eventually becoming an example for other districts in Malaysia.
