Perak Government Distributes RM500 to KAFA and Takmir Teachers for Aidilfitri
IPOH, 25 March 2024 – A total of 3,495 Quran and Fardu Ain Class (KAFA) teachers and takmir teachers in Perak will receive a Special Aidilfitri Financial Assistance (BKK) of RM500 starting this Friday.
Perak Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad, announced that the assistance involves an allocation of RM1.75 million as a token of appreciation for religious educators in the state.
Additional Assistance for Religious Teachers
This assistance is in addition to the RM250 aid announced by the Federal Government last week for KAFA teachers, takmir teachers, imams, bilals, and marbuts nationwide.
“The State Government is taking the initiative to provide this special assistance as a sign of appreciation for the KAFA and takmir teachers who are dedicated to educating the younger generation,” Saarani explained in an official statement.

Previously, the Perak Government announced a BKK Aidilfitri of RM1,500 for 13,582 state civil servants, including:

Positive Reception from Recipients
Ustazah Aminah, 42, a KAFA teacher in Taiping, expressed her gratitude for the assistance.

Important Role of KAFA and Takmir Teachers
According to data from the Perak Islamic Religious Department (JAIPk), there are over 4,000 active KAFA classes in the state with thousands of students participating every year.
These teachers play a crucial role in ensuring the continuity of Islamic education for the younger generation.
Expected to be Credited This Friday
The RM500 assistance is expected to be deposited into recipients' accounts starting this Friday, just a few weeks before the Aidilfitri celebration.
The State Government hopes this assistance will alleviate the financial burden of the recipients and add to the joy of celebrating the festival.
