Over 500 Participants Flood the Perak Agrofest Fun Run 2025 in Sungai Siput
The morning atmosphere at Arena Sungai Siput (U) was buzzing with sportsmanship as over 500 participants from all walks of life joined the Perak Agrofest Fun Run 2025.
The running event, which was one of the highlights of the Perak Agrofest 2025, was officially flagged off by the Perak State Rural Development, Plantation, Agriculture, and Food Industry Committee Chairman, YB Dato' Haji Mohd Zolkafly bin Harun, at 7:30 AM.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mohd Zolkafly said that this second edition was intentionally held outside the main Ladang Infoternak area to encourage wider participation from the local community in inclusive, open, and family-friendly recreational activities.
According to him, this fun run is not just a warm-up event to build excitement for Perak Agrofest 2025, but also serves as an important platform to foster and nurture the spirit of unity among the multi-racial community.
“It is my hope that programs like this will be continued and expanded in the future, not only for health and fitness purposes but also to strengthen harmony and community unity,” he said.
He also expressed his high appreciation for the close cooperation between the state government and the various departments and agencies involved in ensuring the smooth running of this program. This strategic relationship, he explained, must continue to be strengthened so that every future event can provide comprehensive benefits to the people.
In the meantime, he took the opportunity to invite all the people of Perak to join in the excitement of the main Perak Agrofest 2025 event, which is scheduled to take place from September 26 to 28 at Ladang Infoternak, Sungai Siput.
Also enlivening the flag-off ceremony were the Deputy State Secretary of Perak (Development), YBrs. Puan Hajah Halizah binti Sipun; Director of the Fisheries Development Authority of Malaysia (LKIM) Perak, Encik Ahmad Zulkifli bin Ismail; President of the Kuala Kangsar Municipal Council, YBrs. Dr. Sakduddin bin Zamli; and the Chief Assistant District Officer of Sungai Siput, Encik Khaizurul Ezwan bin Baharuddin.
