Lubuk Timah Recreational Centre in Perak

Lubuk Timah Recreational Centre has its own unique charm, featuring a cool waterfall and hot springs. The hot spring pool has been rebuilt and is situated on the riverbank, right beside where the original waterfall flows.

At the Lubuk Timah Recreational Centre, there is a main pool that flows into a second pool and eventually into the river. The waterfall cascades down from a dam-like structure on both the left and right sides. During the monsoon season, when water levels are high, the pool water flows down this wall like a miniature Niagara Falls. According to local lore, this dam was built on the Anak Ayer Cina river in the early 20th century, closely linked to tin mining activities at the time. The dam is estimated to be 30 meters high and is now filled with sand, with a small stream flowing through it. For those who are unaware, the Lubuk Timah Recreational Centre is a popular holiday destination for locals and tourists during school holidays and festive seasons. Basic facilities such as toilets, a surau, gazebos, and rest huts are also provided.
