"The landslide occurred at approximately 6 PM at kilometer 189, after the tunnel from Gerik heading towards Jeli. No injuries or vehicle damage were reported. A team of police officers and flagmen were immediately deployed to the location while waiting for JKR staff to clear the road. The cause of the landslide was heavy rain in the hilly area, which caused water from the hill to flow onto the road, bringing soil and mud with it," he said.
