Ipoh-Medan Flights to Resume

Flight services between Medan and Ipoh by Malindo Air will commence on March 16, 2018, at Sultan Azlan Shah Airport (LTSAS).

Low-cost carrier Malindo Air is set to resume flight services between Medan and Ipoh, which had been suspended since 2015. The resumption of flight services between these two locations is expected to further boost tourism activities in the state of Perak and Medan.

For our loyal readers at orangperak.com, please be informed that flight services between Medan and Ipoh by Malindo Air will commence on March 16, 2018, at Sultan Azlan Shah Airport (LTSAS). This service will allow citizens of both countries to utilize direct flights to both destinations. This is one of the state government's strategies to introduce attractive destinations to boost and add value to the tourism industry in Perak. Indirectly, this will help position Perak as a focal point for tourists from the Asian region.

Ipoh-Medan Flights to Resume

To date, Sultan Azlan Shah Airport (LTSAS) has provided flight services for Ipoh-Singapore, Singapore-Ipoh, and Ipoh-Johor Bahru routes and vice versa. Moving forward, the state government also intends and is working to secure flight services to Southern China, specifically for flight durations of around three hours.

This is part of the state government's continuous efforts to attract tourists to Perak. We can all benefit greatly from the flight services that will be resumed by Malindo Air.

According to the Malindo Air website, the first flight from Ipoh to Medan is scheduled for March 16, 2018, at 10:05 AM, while the flight from Medan to Ipoh is scheduled for the same day at 11:20 AM (Medan time). Offers for this flight route have been highly anticipated by many in Perak. Thank you to all parties involved in making this long-awaited flight route a success.
