Honest Young Man from Kuala Kangsar Returns Found Money
Last September, a student from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Clifford was praised for returning RM1,450 found at a bank to the police.
Most recently, a young man named Muhammad Nazmin Nazri did the same by returning RM1,136 in cash that he found at a bank deposit machine. The Deputy Chief of Kuala Kangsar Police Station, Sergeant Major Ariffin Harun, was responsible for handing over the money to the bank recently.
According to a statement from the Kuala Kangsar District Police Headquarters, the man found the money inside the cash deposit machine while conducting business at the bank. "The Kuala Kangsar district police express their appreciation to Muhammad Nazmin Nazri for his noble character in returning the money," it said.
The honesty of Kuala Kangsar residents in returning found money is not the first time this has happened, as two years ago, a man returned RM5,000 he had found to the police.
