Silat Legenda is a Malaysian animated film released in 1998, directed by Hassan Abd Muthalib. This fictional film tells the story of the adventure of five youths who eventually discover mystical weapons.

Set in a futuristic era, this film presents a new perspective on the legend of the five brothers of Hang Tuah. We are sure that Generation X and Generation Y still remember the animated film Silat Legenda, which was the first animated film in Malaysia. Many in our society today are still looking for this film because they want to rewatch it since it was first released on August 27, 1998. The story of Silat Legenda begins in 15th-century Melaka, focusing on Seleman and Mona, who both studied under the same silat master. Unfortunately, Mona, who possessed greater expertise, used the knowledge she gained for evil purposes and sought to control five highly powerful mysterious weapons. As the story goes, Mona failed to obtain all the weapons in the film, leading her to harbor a grudge and continue trying to master them using magic and dark arts. After hundreds of years passed, the five mysterious weapons were transformed into keris and kept in a cave on Gunung Ledang. Mona was put into a long slumber and would only awaken once the weapons were found. Eventually, five youths in the 21st century succeeded in finding these weapons on Gunung Ledang.
