Dapur Jalanan Ipoh was successfully held for the very first time on August 10, 2014, on Jalan Dato Sagor, located behind the Perak State Mosque.

On their first day of activity, members of Dapur Jalanan Ipoh provided and shared food with the homeless in the city of Ipoh. Their objective for the first day was achieved despite being short on funds and promotion.

According to the Dapur Jalanan Ipoh crew, the main objective is not just to provide food or drinks, but there is an underlying message they wish to convey to the public: that there are still less fortunate urban poor living in hardship. Indirectly, Dapur Jalanan Ipoh wants to change the public's negative perception of this group while trying to bridge the gap between them.

Anyone can come to receive free food or drinks, as per the Dapur Jalanan Ipoh tagline, "Food is a Right for All," which further strengthens their objective. Alhamdulillah, Dapur Jalanan Ipoh has gained the attention of several NGOs and members of the public who occasionally come down to assist and provide support for Dapur Jalanan Ipoh's activities. The types of aid Dapur Jalanan Ipoh usually receives include food, drinks, clothing, and more. From August 10, 2014, to March 12, 2017, a total of 62 meal distributions have been provided to those in need.
