The King of Aceh's wrath could no longer be reasoned with, and without any warning, Aceh attacked Perak. The Bendahara of Perak was not at Kota Geronggong when the attack occurred as he was seeking treatment in Ulu Kinta. Due to the lack of preparation for war, Perak was defeated. The Sultan of Perak was captured and taken to Aceh to be imprisoned.
After the Aceh forces departed from Perak to return home, Perak officials such as Bana, Tok Ribut, Tok Gagah, and Tok Bidara held a meeting to discuss how to break the news of the Sultan's capture to the Bendahara in Ulu Kinta. The meeting concluded that Bana and Tok Gagah would travel to Ulu Kinta to meet the Bendahara and deliver the sad news. Tok Gagah and Bana went to Ulu Kinta to meet the Bendahara and recounted everything that had happened while he was away from Kota Geronggong. The Bendahara was moved to tears upon hearing the news from Bana and Tok Gagah. A week later, the Bendahara recovered from his illness. He then met with the person who treated him, the Orang Asli headman, to express his gratitude and thanks. The Bendahara returned to Kota Geronggong and soon after set sail for Singapore, intending to acquire jinns. Upon arriving in Singapore, the Bendahara went ashore and met an old man sitting in deep thought. In front of the old man were four hanging parrots (serindit). The Bendahara greeted him and immediately asked if he was willing to sell the four birds.
After receiving a response from the old man confirming they were for sale, the Bendahara agreed to purchase them and paid the agreed price. Without delay, the Bendahara took the four birds on his sailing ship towards Pulau Sembilan. Upon reaching Pulau Sembilan, the Bendahara released one of the hanging parrots there and continued sailing upstream until he reached Pasir Garam on Pulau Bangka.
When the Bendahara reached Pasir Garam, he released another hanging parrot there. The final two were released in the upper reaches of Perak in the Temong area. It is said that these four hanging parrots were actually four jinns kept by the Bendahara to help defend the state of Perak. The names of these jinns were Bintang Kemabur, Perkaka, Gagak Sura, and Pulikat. After releasing all the birds, which were said to be manifestations of the jinns, the Bendahara returned to Kota Geronggong and prepared his war equipment to attack Aceh and reclaim the Sultan of Perak who was imprisoned there. Perak soldiers from all over the state gathered at Kota Geronggong to sail to Aceh. Among the forces were the brave warriors Bana and Tok Gagah. The Perak forces were defeated when attacking Aceh because the King of Aceh's power was immense and feared at the time. The Bendahara and his two officials, Bana and Tok Gagah, were captured, imprisoned, and sentenced to death. News of the impending execution reached the ears of the Queen of Aceh, who questioned the punishment the King of Aceh intended to carry out.
The Queen of Aceh revealed that she was pregnant and set a condition for the King regarding the punishment of the Bendahara and the Perak officials. She claimed to be craving the Gangga Puri durian fruit located on the palace balcony. The Queen suggested that the Bendahara be ordered to retrieve the fruit, and if he failed, only then should the death sentence be carried out. Since the Queen was pregnant, the happy King agreed.
