Sunway Group Founder Hails from Pusing, Perak

Tan Sri Dr. Jeffrey Cheah is the CEO of Sunway Group and was born in the town of Pusing, Perak. He, who has 6 siblings, received his higher education at the Footscray Institute of Technology, which is known today as Victoria University of Technology, Australia. After successfully completing his studies, Tan Sri Dr. Jeffrey Cheah began his career working as an accountant at a motor assembly plant. Consequently, after several years, the tin ore was exhausted, leading him to convert the tin mine into a quarry and sand mine.
