Six MAIPk Trainees Win Silver Medals at the Malaysia Culinary World Cup 2025
Six trainees from the MAIPk Asnaf Skills Program currently enrolled in the Food Preparation and Production Course at Haaza Centre of Excellence have made history by participating in the Malaysia Culinary World Cup 2025. The prestigious competition took place at Bulatan Sultan Azlan Shah, Meru, Ipoh from June 27 to 29, 2025, with participation from over 20 countries.
Among those who stole the spotlight was Nur Shafia Irdina binti Anuar, who successfully won a Silver Medal in the Modern Western category. This victory is hoped to be a source of inspiration for her to continue excelling in the culinary field.
According to MAIPk, a total of 25 asnaf youths are currently undergoing nine months of training at the Haaza Centre of Excellence to obtain the Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) Level 2 in the culinary field. They are expected to complete their training in July 2025.
The MAIPk Skills Program is a strategic initiative to help asnaf youths build a clearer career path. This training also serves as a 'shortcut' for them to break free from the shackles of unemployment and subsequently generate income to support their families.
With this achievement by Nur Shafia Irdina, MAIPk is confident that this program does not just train skills, but also opens opportunities for participants to compete on the international stage.
