For Ipoh residents, especially those near Eco Park, the name Bandar Seri Botani is certainly no stranger. It is a recreational park perfect for spending time with family on weekends and public holidays. Eco Park, Bandar Seri Botani is better known among locals as Taman Botani.

Located near Simpang Pulai, Taman Botani has become a focal point for families, whether for jogging, picnicking, or hosting family gatherings. There is also a large lake here, filled with fish species such as catfish, tilapia, and several others. You can also find many turtles or softshell turtles in this lake. Beyond healthy activities, one popular pastime for families, especially young children, is feeding the fish. Children are always excited to see the movement and ripples in the water when food is tossed to the fish. Don't worry if you didn't bring fish food, as there are vendors selling bread for between RM1 and RM2. Besides fish food, they also sell snacks and drinks. If you visit, please park your vehicle in the designated areas. There is no entry fee for visitors. Admission is free. There is a small jetty or platform here that serves as the perfect spot for you to feed the fish.

You just need to walk a little further to reach the small platform. That's not a problem, is it? You can get some exercise while walking. For those with children, you can also let them play at the provided playground. However, it seems children prefer feeding the fish. We also frequently visit Taman Botani on weekends or public holidays to unwind after a tiring work week. If you aren't doing any specific activities, you can simply observe the antics and activities of other visitors. Taman Botani is also a popular spot for newlyweds and photographers for outdoor photo shoots, thanks to its lush greenery, lake, and spacious grounds. At dusk, you can enjoy a beautiful view. If you are visiting Perak, don't forget to stop by Eco Park, Taman Seri Botani. You can use Waze or Google Maps to get directions here. Enjoy your visit and have a great time with your family.
