The eldest daughter of
the late Sultan Azlan Shah (the 34th Sultan of Perak)
was born in Penang on December 9, 1957. Raja Azureen is the second of five siblings, two of whom are male and the rest are female.
For the information of our loyal readers at orangperak.com, Raja Azureen received her primary education at Marion Convent, Ipoh, Perak. Later, Engku Raja Azureen continued her secondary education at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Convent Bukit Nanas (CBN) located in Kuala Lumpur.
Engku Raja Azureen then pursued her higher education at Syracuse University, located abroad in New York, United States. Through her patience and diligence in her studies, she successfully obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mathematics and Economics in 1979.
After completing her studies in New York, Raja Azureen continued her education in the United Kingdom for her Master's degree. This time, Engku Raja Azureen ventured into the field of Business Administration. She continued her studies at the University of London, England, in 1982.
Raja Azureen tied the knot when she married YB Dato' Seri Mohammad Salleh bin Dato' Ismail on September 8, 1979, in Kuala Lumpur. YB Dato' Seri Mohammad Salleh is a banker and business consultant. The happy couple has been blessed with four children.
