Manjoi Night Market: A New Attraction in Ipoh
The parking area near the old Kampung Manjoi market is now coming alive with a night market featuring a variety of interesting goods, held every Saturday night. This location is the same site used for the Ramadan Bazaar, which has been a focal point for residents around Ipoh for years.
According to the organizer, the United Entrepreneurs Association of Ipoh (PUBI), residents around Kampung Manjoi seem excited about the night market based on the feedback received on their Facebook page. This night market, located on Jalan Alang Ishak and Jalan Sri Tanjong, is expected to liven up Manjoi every Saturday night.
For readers of orangperak.com, there are 50 trading stalls selling a wide variety of items such as food and drinks. Not to forget, there are also dry and wet kitchen essentials available. Various types of clothing and headscarves (tudung) are sold here as well. Additionally, fresh produce like fruits and vegetables will also be available.
Hopefully, the establishment of this night market near the Manjoi Wet Market will boost the economy for small traders while providing residents of Kampung Manjoi and the surrounding areas with more options to purchase groceries, food, and other daily necessities.
Readers of orangperak.com are welcome to visit to shop or enjoy a Saturday night out with family, as an alternative to existing night spots in Ipoh. According to PUBI, they are also accepting membership applications from any entrepreneurs around the state of Perak. For more information, visit their Facebook page at www.facebook.com/PUBIPerak
