This Durian Park is the first of its kind in our country, Malaysia, and has been opened in Kuala Kangsar, Perak by the Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute (MARDI).

The Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute (MARDI) has introduced a new agro-tourism attraction based on durians. Interestingly, this Durian Park is the first of its kind in our country, Malaysia, and was opened in Kuala Kangsar, Perak by the Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute (MARDI).

For our loyal readers of orangperak.com, the location of this Durian Park is in Kampung Talang Hulu. The site covers an area of 39.5 hectares and features various high-quality durian varieties such as D24, D99, MDUR78, MDUR79, MDUR 88, and Musang King. With an entrance fee of RM50 per person, visitors have the opportunity to tour the 22-hectare durian orchard by tram. What's exciting is that visitors can enjoy the 'King of Fruits' fresh directly from the orchard.

Besides durians, visitors also have the opportunity to pick other fruits available there, such as pomelo, mangosteen, rambutan, and coconut, in addition to experiencing the authentic orchard atmosphere and participating in recreational activities like camping, cycling, and fishing.

"There are six attractions offered at the MARDI Kuala Kangsar Duriotourism Park: Durio Tour, Durio Festival, Durio Products, Durio Museum, Durio Chalet, and Friends of Durio. During this school holiday season, we encourage the public to come to MARDI Kuala Kangsar, in line with the theme of this Duriotourism Park: come, eat fresh fruits, learn, and enjoy the environment," he said.

He said this to reporters after officiating the agro-tourism park here today, which was also attended by the Director-General of MARDI, Dr. Mohamad Roff Mohd Noor. This Durian Park was the brainchild of Tuan Haji Abghani Mohammed, the former Director of Corporate Communications and Quality at MARDI Serdang.
