Malaysian Army to Conduct Exercise Keris Strike 2025 with the US and Australia in Perak

The Malaysian Army (TDM) is set to hold Exercise Keris Strike 2025 alongside the US Army and the Australian Army at several strategic locations in Perak from July 17 to 30.

According to the Army Public Relations Cell, this joint exercise will involve areas around Ipoh, Sungai Siput, Kuala Kangsar, and up to Lenggong.

“This annual exercise aims to enhance joint operational capabilities and strengthen military ties with partner nations. It is also intended to improve the TDM's readiness level in facing any regional security threats,” it explained in a statement today.

Therefore, the public, especially residents around Ipoh and Kuala Kangsar, are advised not to panic if they encounter foreign military personnel or witness the movement of vehicles and military asset convoys throughout the training period.

“This includes the movement of vehicles and military asset convoys, as well as any military activities taking place throughout the duration of the exercise,” it added.

This annual training is expected to strengthen regional defense cooperation and ensure the force's readiness in facing increasingly complex global security challenges.
