Fiesta Larut 2017, A People's Carnival in Batu Kurau
Tune Advertising Sdn. Bhd., in collaboration with the Larut Parliamentary Service Centre, will host Fiesta Larut 2017 at the Batu Kurau Astaka Sports Complex from 14 to 17 September 2017. Designed as a people's carnival, Fiesta Larut 2017 aims to connect the community, especially the youth in the Larut constituency, with a healthy lifestyle and competitive spirit through sports and active engagement.
Furthermore, Fiesta Larut 2017 serves as a platform to discover new local talent in sports, while also providing various opportunities from the government for young local entrepreneurs to grow their businesses.
Fiesta Larut 2017 is set to be a tourist attraction in conjunction with Visit Perak 2017. It will be officiated by Dato’ Seri Hamzah Zainudin, Minister of Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism (KPDNKK) and Member of Parliament for Larut, on 16 September 2017. This 4-day program will be filled with major sporting activities such as Badminton, Football, Cycling, Netball, Sepak Takraw, Muay Thai competitions, Wall Climbing, Marathon, and Under-12 Street Soccer. It is hoped that this event will foster a harmonious atmosphere in the community through the activities organized and strengthen the bond between leaders and the people. In addition to sports, Fiesta Larut 2017 will also feature various exhibitions and sales from different clusters.
The exhibitions and sales from various clusters are highlighted by the Ministry of Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism (KPDNKK) in collaboration with government agencies to broaden visitors' perspectives on local industries. Not forgetting fans of extreme sports, Fiesta Larut 2017 also provides space and opportunities for youth to challenge themselves through extreme activities such as freestyle motorcycling and Formula One (F1) simulators.
The highlight of Fiesta Larut 2017 will be further enlivened by special appearances from the country's famous artists and personalities such as "Papa Rock" Ramli Sarip, renowned singers Faradhiya, Amalina, Farawaheeda, Khalifah, Ronnie Hussein, and Aiman Tino, beautiful actresses Janna Nick and Ayda Jebat, and many more on 16 September 2017. Visitors can also try their luck by participating in the Karaoke competition and Lucky Draw. Additionally, the Forum Perdana Hal Ehwal Islam program produced by RTM, featuring well-known speakers, will also be held to enliven this people's carnival.
