Convoy and Asnaf Visit: A Corporate Program by MAIPk
Many of us are aware of the existence of the Perak Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPk) as the body responsible for managing Islamic affairs in the state of Perak, in addition to upholding Malay customs. Furthermore, MAIPk is also the body responsible for collecting and distributing Zakat to those in need.
In this article, orangperak.com highlights the 2017 Corporate Visit program, which will be conducted by MAIPk in early November as a glimpse into the various programs implemented by MAIPk that are not widely publicized. The 2017 Corporate Visit program, organized by the Perak Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPk), has been an annual event since 2014.
This year's program will take place on October 31 and November 1, 2017 (2 days and 1 night). The chosen location for this Corporate Visit is around the Hulu Perak Zone, which includes the districts of Kuala Kangsar, Lenggong, and Grik. The program is expected to host approximately 100 participants and guests, involving representatives from various agencies such as corporate companies, GLCs, NGOs, media, bloggers, and special guests.
Programs like this always receive positive feedback and are highly anticipated by all parties. This is because, through a 'convoy & visit' concept, every participant has the opportunity to see firsthand the role played by MAIPk in helping and empowering the community through Zakat funds. Participants are also exposed to the hardships and struggles faced by the asnaf (Zakat recipients) all this time.
The Corporate Visit is also the best platform for every agency or corporate individual to express their concern for fellow Muslims who are less fortunate than themselves. It is hoped that programs like this will create a positive impact and attract more agencies and corporate individuals to pay their Zakat to the Perak Islamic Religious Council to support the asnaf in the state of Perak.
