Youth NGO from Padang Rengas, an Exemplary Youth NGO in Perak
It is a source of pride that the Gerakan Belia 4B Malaysia Padang Rengas Area was crowned Champion of the 2018 National Youth Award for the Perak State level in the Youth Organization category. The youth organization took home a cash prize of RM10,000 along with a trophy.
The National Youth Award (APBN) presentation ceremony was held at MIKER FOOD Restaurant, Jalan Padang, Ipoh, Perak. The ceremony was officiated by YB Loh Sze Yee, the ADUN for Jalong, representing the Chairman of the Perak State Youth, Sports, and Human Capital Development Committee. The ceremony was also attended by Brother Aswannudin Hariffudin Bin Hariffuddin, President of the Perak State Youth Council, Tuan Haji Mohd Hata Bin Saliman, Director of the Perak State Youth and Sports Department, as well as many other registered youth organizations from across Perak. Winning the Champion title for the year 2018 in the state of Perak continues their success, as they were the Runner-up in the same category in 2017. Gerakan Belia 4B Malaysia Padang Rengas is a youth NGO in the Padang Rengas Parliament that is very active in conducting various youth activities that transcend political ideologies, socio-interests, and culture. For the past 3 years, Gerakan Belia 4B Padang Rengas has tirelessly conducted various activities almost every month at the parliamentary, state, and international levels. Among the activities organized are sports such as rugby, football, and takraw, as well as entrepreneurship courses, tourism courses, cooking courses, makeup courses, welfare aid, religious activities, and many volunteer activities that have become synonymous with this youth NGO.
As the Chairman of Gerakan Belia 4B Padang Rengas, Brother Mohamad Hafiz Bin Mohd Idris expressed his congratulations to all the Committee Members of Gerakan Belia 4B in the Padang Rengas area who worked hand-in-hand to achieve this meaningful success. The former Chairman of Gerakan Belia 4B Padang Rengas, Brother Sabri Bin Ahmad Sabri, a Town Planner, expressed his infinite gratitude in his speech to the parties who provided significant assistance in terms of funding, especially Dato' Seri Nazri Tan Sri Abdul Aziz, Member of Parliament for Padang Rengas, and the Founder of Gerakan Belia 4B Malaysia Padang Rengas, Dato' Jamal Nasir Rasdi, for all the support and encouragement given to ensure the success of the programs and activities of Gerakan Belia 4B in the Padang Rengas area. Finally, the Secretary of Belia 4B Padang Rengas, Puan Rabuzawati Binti Mat Kassim Uja Zul, as a representative for the young women, expressed her emotion over the victory and thanked the organizers of the 2018 National Youth Award at the Perak State level.
In addition, other awards were presented, namely the Perak State Special Youth Award, the State Women's Youth Award (Individual), the State Men's Youth Award (Individual), and the Runner-up for the 2018 National Youth Organization Award. The ceremony was enlivened with a Hari Raya feast and a live band performance. The achievements of Gerakan Belia 4B Padang Rengas should be highlighted and used as a model not only for all youth NGOs in Perak but for all youth NGOs across Malaysia. This is highly beneficial for continuing the youth legacy in Malaysia for a brighter future for the nation.
