Sultan Nazrin Shah Breaks Fast with the People in Behrang Stesen

The close bond between the sovereign and the people was clearly evident when His Royal Highness (DYMM) the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Azlan Muhibuddin Shah Al-Maghfur-Lah, graced the Iftar ceremony with the people at Masjid Raja Muda Musa II today.

His Royal Highness's arrival on the 12th of Ramadan 1447 Hijrah marks a historic moment for local residents, as it is the first location in the Sultan of Perak's series of Iftar visits for this year.

His Royal Highness was welcomed with great respect by YDH Toh Paduka Setia Dato' Dr. Safry Kamal Bin Hj. Ahmad, the Muallim District Chief, who also serves as the Chairman of Masjid Raja Muda Musa II. Also gracing the event were state leaders, including YABhg. Orang Kaya Bendahara Seri Maharaja, Gen (Rtd) Dato' Seri Diraja Tan Sri Dr. Mohd Zahidi Bin Hj. Zainudin, the Menteri Besar of Perak, Dato' Seri Saarani Bin Mohamad, other Perak state dignitaries, and senior government officials.

The event held at Masjid Raja Muda Musa II was more than just a gathering; it revived the nostalgia of a place of worship rich in history. The mosque has a unique history, with its original structure built in 1930 entirely of wood before the Second World War, located near the Behrang Railway Station before moving to its current site in 1950.

Through the diligent efforts of the local community and assistance from the Batang Padang District Islamic Religious Office, a new building was completed in 1967 and inaugurated by YM Raja Muda Musa II Ibni Almarhum Sultan Abdul Aziz. The mosque, which can accommodate 500 congregants, proudly maintains its 25 unique wooden pillars and traditional architectural features that serve as a landmark of pride for the residents.

The "Sinar Ramadan" program between the royal institution and the people is an agenda always anticipated to manifest the Sultan's closeness to the people, as he frequently visits and engages with those in rural areas. In other words, throughout this holy month of Ramadan, in the spirit of brotherhood, Muslims come together to uphold the glory of Islam by breaking their fast and performing Maghrib, Isyak, and Tarawih prayers in congregation.

This situation simultaneously demonstrates the formation of harmonious relationships with Allah SWT and fellow human beings, with the hope that Masjid Raja Muda Musa II will continue to stand firm as a center for the development of Islam in Behrang Stesen.

The presence of the Sultan of Perak at this event has provided a positive and profound meaning to the local community through His Royal Highness's care and love for the people. Hopefully, programs like this can be maintained and continued as a relevant space to bring the leadership closer to the people.

This noble effort indirectly helps ensure that the values of unity among Muslims continue to be strengthened for the well-being of the state and the country as a whole.
