Statewide Solat Hajat Across Perak After Friday Prayers
As is widely known, the closure of Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem by Israel has become a major news headline in blogs and news outlets worldwide. Every day, the number of lives lost in the struggle to reclaim Al-Aqsa Mosque continues to rise. Their martyrdom should be remembered, as they fought to restore the call to prayer and perform worship at Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The initiative by the Perak Islamic Religious Department (JAIPk) is one of the first steps taken to assist the victims in Jerusalem by directing all mosques and suraus in the state of Perak to hold Solat Sunat Hajat after Friday prayers. This is one of the best efforts that can be made by Muslims to seek help from Allah SWT. The purpose of the Solat Hajat is clearly to pray for the liberation of Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem from the cruelty of Israel. Dato' Haji Mohd Yusop Bin Haji Husin, as the director of the Perak Islamic Religious Department (JAIPk), decided to order Solat Hajat in all mosques across Perak following a special sermon and the recitation of Qunut Nazillah last week.

It is understood that some mosques with committee members concerned about the plight of fellow Muslims in Jerusalem have already begun performing Solat Hajat over the past few weeks. This is a commendable act, as they are mindful of the fate of their fellow Muslims far away and have performed the prayer without waiting for any directive from the Perak Islamic Religious Department (JAIPK). To all loyal readers of orangperak.com who pray at any mosque around the state of Perak, it is hoped that you will stay after Friday prayers and perform the Solat Hajat together with the other congregants so that the prayers of all the faithful may be granted by Allah SWT to liberate Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem from the grip of Israel.
