For the information of orangperak.com readers, Kuala Lumpur 2017 (KL2017) is the brand for the 29th SEA Games and the 9th ASEAN Para Games. The SEA Games will take place from August 19 to 30, 2017, while the ASEAN Para Games will be held from September 17 to 23, 2017. Below are the locations passed by the KL2017 torch.

According to the official KL2017 website, the run will start in the main city or iconic area of each state. The run is casual and not a competition. It will move from one selected district to another, reaching the border of the next state. Each district will have several checkpoints. The torch will be handed over to the next state's representative at their respective state borders. This run is organized in conjunction with Kuala Lumpur 2017 (KL2017) in every state across the country, starting from May 14, 2017, in Johor until August 12, 2017, in Kuala Lumpur. The torchbearers throughout the run will consist of various individuals representing the diversity of Malaysian society. The Torch Run, which passes through selected iconic locations nationwide, makes this run unique as it has never been done in the history of the SEA Games and ASEAN Para Games. The highlight of the event will be when the torch is brought into the Bukit Jalil National Stadium to light the KL2017 flame on the opening night of KL2017 on August 19, 2017. This flame will burn continuously until it is extinguished during the closing ceremony, marking the end of the games. The Torch Run is part of the SEA Games and ASEAN Para Games tradition since their inception and is in line with the traditions of multi-sport events worldwide. The modern-day Torch Run is a symbolic event carrying the message of sports as an inclusive platform and a foundation for unity for the community, as Malaysia is once again chosen to host the 29th SEA Games and the 9th ASEAN Para Games. We at orangperak.com hope that all Perak residents will give their full support to KL2017 and pray that Team Malaysia achieves glorious success.
