Attempt to Straighten the Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan Fails

A man believed to be mentally unstable shocked the public by doing something bizarre in an attempt to straighten the Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan. The man caused a disturbance by throwing wooden debris from the top of the Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan before being apprehended by police on a Wednesday afternoon in late February 2017.

According to onlookers at the scene who witnessed the man's actions, he claimed he was attempting to straighten the iconic Leaning Clock Tower of Teluk Intan.

Tower staff heard noises coming from the top of the structure and went to investigate. They spotted a man breaking the ceiling and throwing debris downward. When asked why and attempts were made to calm him down, the man became increasingly aggressive, hurling insults and challenging them to a fight.

The Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan staff, along with several others, managed to apprehend the man before handing him over to the police.
