Adi Putra, The Math Genius from Bagan Serai
All of Malaysia was abuzz in 2005 when a 6-year-old genius child was able to solve various problems in mathematics such as algebra, indices, and trigonometry.
Adi Putra bin Abdul Ghani is a name that is no stranger to all Malaysians, who at that time were stunned by the abilities of a 6-year-old boy. Adi Putra bin Abdul Ghani was born on January 27, 1999, in Bagan Serai, Perak. His intelligence in the field of mathematics caught the attention of many parties, especially regarding the help and guidance that should be provided to him to ensure his abilities were polished as best as possible. Adi Putra's ability to answer additional mathematics questions mentally, quickly, and accurately raised questions about how he obtained those answers using his own multiplication formulas and logic, which were also convincing. Many were amazed by his ability, as at that age, he had not received formal mathematics education to solve math problems that were not at his grade level. Adi Putra was said to be able to solve math problems mentally in less than a second.
In August 2005, there was a report in Berita Harian regarding Adi Putra's brilliance, stating that he easily defeated 19 teachers and 230 students from year one to year six in an intelligence test at Sekolah Kebangsaan Kuala Kurau Baru in Bagan Serai.
In that test, Adi Putra quickly answered accurately, leaving teachers wondering about the multiplication formulas and logic he used to answer the randomly given questions. The child was also able to solve various high school-level math problems and easily recognize numbers in the trillions (15 digits).
Usually, Adi Putra only took less than a minute to answer basic math questions, while for high school and basic university-level questions, the child was able to solve them in less than five minutes using only his fingers and the power of his memory.
According to Abdul Ghani, Adi Putra's father, Adi Putra's intelligence was detected by their family since he was four years old. This was because Adi Putra succeeded in solving the math problems of his brother, Amirul Izuan, who was 4 years older than him.
According to his family, the name Adi Putra was taken from the name of the martial arts teacher of the warriors in Malay history during the era of Hang Tuah. After several years of gaining popularity and fame in the country, Adi Putra suddenly disappeared from any publicity.
For your information, loyal readers of orangperak.com, many parties actually began to express concern when Adi Putra decided to stop studying at the International Islamic School in Gombak after stating that the existing education system was not suitable for him. In fact, there are still members of our society today who remember his words at that time when he likened himself to a Ferrari being driven like a Kancil car. Today, he spends much of his time fulfilling invitations from schools, universities, and certain groups to teach the extraordinary mathematical knowledge he has possessed for over 10 years. Not only that, the son of the couple Abdul Ghani Abdul Wahid and Serihana Elias also received an invitation to become an instructor at a university in Brunei Darussalam. For your information, loyal readers of orangperak.com, today Adi Putra continues his life by becoming an instructor even without academic degrees and qualifications. He relies only on his name and previous popularity. You can search for the Facebook page
